Rwanda’s tourism is under the office of Rwanda tourism and national park (ORTPN). Its mission is to ensure the conservation of biodiversity in protected areas and to promote sustainable tourism.
Rwanda has three national parks that form the main tourist attraction to mention include;
- Akagera national park it’s major attraction is animal species
- Nyungwe forest national park, it’s major attract attraction is the primate species majorly the chimps and
- Volcanoes national park the most famous national park as it houses the rare species mountain gorillas which has topped Rwanda among the top tourist countries not only in Africa but also in the whole world.
And all the permits for gorilla, golden and chimpanzee are booked through the Rwanda Tourism Board offices (ORTPN) in Kigali or Ruhengeri.
